DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Dr. Di Liu\, Massachusetts Institute of Technology\,
Dr. Guido van de Stolpe\, Stanford University\, Prof. Dr. Roland Nagy\, F
 riedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg\n\n\n\nDeveloping quant
um technologies is a top global research priority. Recently\, silicon carb
ide (SiC) has emerged as a next-generation CMOS-compatible platform\, com
bining state-of-the-art photonics\, electrical control with optically acti
ve solid-state defects (“color centers”) that can be used as quantum
bits.  \nIn this WE-Heraeus seminar\, we will explore the opportunities a
nd challenges related to the integration of color centers into photonic an
d electronic nanofabricated devices\, a key topic in scaling this platfor
 m. The program spans materials science\, nanofabrication\, photonics\, el
ectronics\, and quantum sensing\, combining perspectives from leading figu
res in academia\, industry\, and policy.  \nEarly-career researchers will
be at the heart of the event\, with numerous contributed talks and a dyn
amic poster session. The seminar aims not only to share the latest advance
s but also to forge new collaborations\, strengthen global networks\, and
align efforts between silicon carbide defect physics and device engineer
ing. \nBy fostering synergy between established industries and the rapidl
y growing quantum field\, this meeting will help define the roadmap toward
  large-scale\, practical silicon carbide-based quantum technologies. \n\n
\nThe conference language will be English. The Wilhelm and Else Heraeus-Fo
undation bears the cost of full-board accommodation for all participants.\
